Overcoming Obstacles To Achieve The Extraordinary: My Video Interview With Author John Harlin
Our Oaxaca adventure is behind us, yet we continue to unwrap the gifts of our journey.

One of those I have readied to share with you.
That would be this video interview with John Harlin, world class mountain climber and author of The Eiger Obsession: Facing The Mountain That Killed My Father.
But I'm getting ahead of myself.
Perhaps you took a peek at my travel reports on my column at examiner.com.
What I didn't get to share about there (yet) is the delightful surprise part of our journey (no, not talking about the Swine Flu).
I mean the part about the extraordinary individuals we found in our neighborhood high in the hills overlooking the Etla Valley above Oaxaca City.
As a matter of fact, I became inspired and whipped out my Flip Cam to shoot a few short videos.
My theme quickly revealed itself: overcoming obstacles to extraordinary achievement.
This theme ran a close tie to my other, which will emerge in subsequent videos: "extraordinary women doing extraordinary things".
You'll see what I mean.
But one can only edit so many videos in a day, so the rest will arrive as I can edit them.
First up? My interview with John.
